How old does my
son have to be to join scouting?
Cub Scouting
is designed for boys in grades 1-5, or 7-11 years of age.
Boy Scouting, is structured for boys, ages 11-18.
How much does it cost to join?
Cub Scout
Pack 360 is unique, in that we collect an $11 registration
fee, once. Just once. We pledge to you that you will not pay
another annual registration fee for scouting, provided you
and your son remain active in the Pack 360 scouting program
and participate in the Pack fund raising events. Other units
charge various fees, ranging from $20-$100 annually.
My son doesn't attend public school. He is home
schooled/attends private school. Can we still join Pack 360?
Absolutely!
Any boy, from any neighborhood, from any school (or home
school), may join any scouting unit they desire. Pack 360
presently has boys from 12 different schools, enrolled in
our program.
What the heck is a Den? Pack? Troop? Akela?
PACK 360
meets as a whole on a monthly basis, and is comprised of a
number of DENS. Each DEN has approximately 6-10 scouts,
which attend weekly DEN meetings. Each DEN is lead by an
AKELA, or leader. A TROOP is a group of Boy Scouts (11-18
year old boys).
So, these weekly 'Den meetings'... Do I just drop off my kid
for an hour, and pick him up later?
That's a big
NOPE! It's very important that the parent/guardian be
involved in the scouting program. This will allow you to
know what exactly is going on and how your son is
progressing. Additionally, if the leaders have assistance
from every adult, the program will excel.
